CLEG ART GALLERY

Rasha Ghaleb

Born and raised in Cairo, Rasha Ghaleb started drawing at the early age of 12. Following her graduation from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Zamalek with a bachelor’s degree in Décor, Rasha’s career led her into the world of visual expression in advertising and home decoration. But since there is no passion to be found playing small, Rasha decided to dive back into the world of painting, and who better to do that with except the ever-inspiring Farida Darwish (El-Marsam).

Rasha works predominantly in the medium of oil painting, pastel and charcoal and her art was on display in the Cairo Opera House (January 2017) – showcasing portraits, landscape and abstract paintings. Her work is characterized by strong features and bold contrast, inviting you into a journey of beauty and fantasy. Her collection was later represented at Darb 1718 Art Gallery (April 2017).

In 2017, and under the theme of “Colours of Egypt”, Rasha, along with three other Egyptian female artists from “El-Marsam”, were invited to exhibit in Paris, Madrid, Berlin, London, Vienna and Rome. This tour spanned over the period of two years.

After the exhibitions’ resounding success, Colours of Egypt finally took place at Kahila Gallery in their homeland. Rasha and her peers resumed their European Art tour visiting both Budapest and Prague.

Rasha is now co-founder at Cleg Art Gallery where she wishes to enable other artists to showcase their artworks.

She is a proud mother of two, and lives and works in Eternal Cairo.
