Rasha Ghaleb

Born in Cairo, Rasha Ghaleb started drawing at the early age of 12.
Rasha graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Zamalek with a bachelor’s degree in Décor.
Her career led her into the world of visual expression in advertising and home decoration – but she soon resumed her passion for painting thanks to the ever-inspiring Farida Darwish (El-Marsam).
Rasha works predominantly in the medium of oil painting, pastel and charcoal and her work was on display in the Cairo Opera House (January 2017) – showcasing portraits, landscape and abstract paintings. Her collection was later represented at Darb 17/18 Art Gallery (April 2017).
(2017 – 2019) Around the theme of “Colours of Egypt”, Rasha along with other Egyptian women artists, from “El-Marsam”, were invited to exhibit in Paris, Madrid, Berlin, London, Vienna and Rome. After the exhibitions’ resounding success, Colours of Egypt finally took place at Kahila Gallery in their homeland. Rasha and her peers resumed their European Art tour visiting both Budapest and Prague.

Rasha is now co-founder at Cleg Art Gallery where she wishes will enable other artists to showcase their artworks.
Rasha’s work is characterized by strong features and bold contrast, inviting you into a journey of beauty and fantasy.
She is a proud mother of two and lives and works in Eternal Cairo.
