Malak Hesham Abdel-Moaty, born in 2003, a visual artist who graduated from the Faculty of Languages and Translation, October University, in 2026. She currently practices her art at the studio of artist Dr. Hesham Abdel-Moaty.
Her current body of work draws inspiration from the artist’s palette, transforming an everyday tool of the studio into a personal and expressive artistic medium. This exploration gave rise to the concept of “Baba’s Palette,” a body of work that reflects the intimate connection between art, memory, and family.
As part of the project, Malak revisits drawings she created during different stages of her childhood, reinterpreting them on large-scale palettes. By bringing these early personal drawings into a contemporary artistic context, she creates a dialogue between her childhood memories, her present artistic practice, and her father’s world of art.
