Hassan El Sharq is an internationally recognized Egyptian artist and the founder of the Hassan El Sharq Museum in Zawyet Sultan, Minya, on the eastern bank of the Nile. His work has been widely exhibited across prominent cultural institutions worldwide, including the Louvre Museum in Paris (Modern Art Hall), the Berlin Museum, the National Museum of Beirut, the National Art Museum in Colombia, the Egyptian Academy in Rome, and leading venues in Cairo such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Egyptian Opera House Museum, the American University Museum, and the Ministry of Culture’s National Bank Museum.
In 2001, he was awarded one of the most prestigious honors from the Arts Academy in Colombia, further affirming his international acclaim. Through both his artistic practice and his museum, El Sharq has played a significant role in preserving and promoting Egyptian cultural heritage.
