Hadeer Hammam

Hadeer Hammam
Born in 1989, contemporary Egyptian artist, Hadir Hassan Hammam, attended the American
University in Cairo, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art Vision and a Bachelor of Science in
Architectural Engineering, 2012.
From early childhood years, pencil colors, paints and art crafts were Hammam’s real source
of amusement. Her love for art, unexploited, grew by day, and her curiosity to explore and
express herself didn’t stop her from experimenting with a lot of different mediums.
As an artist and an architect emerging into the professional world, Hammam started
developing her own vision, striving constantly to combine these two areas of study in her
work. Her real debut as visual artist was back in 2012, when she had a vision to transform and
express concepts trapped in flat 2D art into interactive 3D conceptual installations. She
exhibited her first masterpiece at the Sharjah Art Gallery at AUC, and later brought it to a larger
audience at Darb 1718, paving the way for the real start of her career.
Hammam’s emerging love for conceptual art and installations was food for thought, yet,
something still brought her back to the true essence of her soul – pouring her heart out on
canvas. The canvas has always been, and is truly a haven for her, where she subconsciously
expresses her feelings, projects arising ideas and responses in an abstract, expressionist
