Farida El Kouni Born in Cairo, Egypt.
Married and a mother of two.
She graduated from law school and worked for several years in the banking sector.
She started pursuing her passion for art by taking art classes at El-Marsam Art School. She has worked with charcoal, pastel colours and oil colours. The palette knife is one tool she loves using due to the richness it adds to the painting.
Farida’s work was on display at the Cairo Opera House in January 2017 and later at Darb 1718 Art Gallery in April 2017.
Around the theme “Colours of Egypt” Farida along with other Egyptian female artists were invited to exhibit in Paris, Berlin, Madrid, London, Vienna and Rome. After the exhibitions’ resounding success, Colours of Egypt finally took place at Kahila Gallery in their homeland. Colours of Egypt is resumed its international tour exhibiting in Budapest then Prague in 2019.
In 2020, Colours of Egypt group take another step and opened their art Gallery in Cairo- Egypt in hope of providing more opportunities for more Egyptian Artists.
Revealing the hidden magic of her country to the world through art is one of Farida’s dreams finally coming true.
