Essam Taha was born in 1961. He graduated from the college of Art Education in 1986.

 He is a member of The Artists’ Syndicate, Journalism’s syndicate and Ghori Association of Artists. Essam Taha has participated in many collective exhibitions in Egypt and abroad. 

He held many individual exhibitions since his graduation like his exhibition in Grant Gallery in 2001 and his two individual exhibitions in Germany in 2002 and 2003.

 He also held one in Qourtoba gallery in 2009 and another one in 2012 in Cairo Gallery and held another exhibition in Bab Selim Gallery in 2015. 

His last exhibition was held in 2019. 

Essam also has many acquisitions by the Museum of Arts and individuals from Egypt and abroad.
