Ahmed Farid

Graduating from Alexandria University, Farid trained in arts and worked as a professor at the Graphic Department, Faculty of Fine Arts at Alexandria University, and at the Business Administration Department at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. He launched his career after obtaining his Master’s degree in Fine Arts and Symbols, taking him around the world as he set his sights on San Francisco to pursue his PhD in the philosophy of art. Dr. Ahmed Farid is also a respected actor, he’s played in a variety of roles including the Arabic version of ” Ugly betty” in 2016. Recently during the filming of ”Drop Dead Diva” and ”Telet Rohi”, he held two solo exhibitions at the “Kahila Art Gallery” in Egypt and “Place Saint-Denis” in Brussels with the themes of ”The Soul Mate” and ”Fruit de 50 Ans D’immigration.” With a passion for nature, his approach to art has been to symbolize hope. Farid has also previously launched solo exhibitions at Picasso Hall in Zamalek, Egypt, as well as in Tunisia and Dubai. Later on, Farid flew to America to follow his dream and launched his art gallery in Houston, Texas which was honored by the Consulate General of the Egyptian Embassy. Farid was also invited to collaborate in a documentary film produced by Houston Museum of Natural History and Science, which positioned him as an Ambassador of the Contemporary Egyptian Artists.
In this documentary, Farid shows art lovers in the USA a window to Egyptian Contemporary Art scene and reveals a beautiful facet of Egypt. Being a man with many talents and interests, Dr. Farid also served as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations.
