Dr. Gehan Youssef El Sabban is an Egyptian visual artist, researcher, and art critic whose practice bridges painting, stained glass, and cultural heritage. Holding a Ph.D. in the Philosophy of Art and Aesthetics, her academic research explores Egypt’s cultural and creative industries with a particular focus on traditional crafts and their contemporary relevance.
Throughout her career, El Sabban has exhibited extensively in Egypt and internationally, including the Czech Republic, Austria, and Kazakhstan. Her work has been presented at prestigious venues such as the Egyptian Opera House, the Egyptian Cultural Center in Vienna, and numerous international exhibitions and cultural forums. Alongside her artistic practice, she has led workshops in painting and stained glass, reflecting her commitment to artistic education and cultural exchange.
Her visual language is rooted in poetic realism, drawing inspiration from nature, heritage, and the emotional relationship between humanity and its surroundings. Through her work, she seeks to create contemplative spaces where memory, identity, and beauty converge.
