Emad Ibrahim (b. 1969) is an Egyptian visual artist who graduated from the Faculty of Art Education, Helwan University, in 1991. Since his first solo exhibition in 1995, he has held numerous solo exhibitions in Egypt and internationally, while actively participating in collective exhibitions since 1991.

Throughout his career, Ibrahim has represented Egypt in several international exhibitions across Cuba, Jordan, Romania, South Africa, and Egypt. He has also presented a number of exhibitions in Saudi Arabia, beginning with his exhibition at Ohoud Gallery in Riyadh. His artistic achievements have been recognized through multiple awards, and his works are included in prominent public and private collections in Egypt and abroad, including the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, the Greater Cairo Library, and the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art.

Deeply inspired by the everyday lives of ordinary people, Ibrahim’s practice explores the emotional and cultural richness of Egyptian society through expressive figuration, dramatic compositions, and a refined command of color and line. His acclaimed exhibition Beautiful Tales centered on the story of a young rural girl navigating life in Cairo, transforming intimate, real-life experiences into poetic visual narratives. Executed in acrylic and charcoal, the series reflects themes of innocence, resilience, memory, and belonging, while blurring the boundaries between reality, imagination, and personal recollection.

Celebrated for his expressive draftsmanship and emotionally resonant palette, Ibrahim’s work captures the dignity and quiet heroism of overlooked lives. Rooted in Egyptian identity yet articulated through a contemporary visual language, his paintings offer a deeply human perspective that continues to resonate with audiences both locally and internationally.
